Lourdes Shop & Earn
Lourdes Shop & Earn, Inc. offers a scrip program in which they act as an agent to purchase scrips on your behalf. The scrip you purchase
through this program generates rebates from the participating retailers. These rebates can be used as a credit to your tuition account and/or a donation
to the Our Lady of Lourdes School and Parish. This program helps keep the school tuition as affordable as possible.
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift
certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of you already shop. These merchants
want to support OLL, and in return ask you to support them by shopping with scrip at their stores. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like
food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, they earn
revenue for OLL.
The reason for the effectiveness of scrip is simple: OLL families generate revenue through purchases they would make anyway.
Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip. They know that buying from a scrip participating retailer provides a steady
source of revenue for OLL.

The following link to the Great Lakes Scrip Center shows what denomination the gift certificate/gift cards from the national vendors can be purchased.
It will also show what percentage is given back to the OLL Shop & Earn Program.

For school families... Of the percentage the merchant is paying back to school; 1/2 goes directly towards your child's tuition for the
next school year and the other 1//2 goes to to the school operating budget. Grandparents, other relatives, and friends can sign up with your child's
name as recipient.
Shop & Earn credits may also be applied towards your children's tuition at St. Francis Borgia Regional High School with the other 1/2 going to Our Lady of Lourdes
School operating budget.
Once a participating member does not have a child at Our Lady of Lourdes School or St. Francis Borgia Regional High School to apply tuition credits to, then all
credits will automatically go towards Our Lady of Lourdes School Operating budget.
For All Parish Members... If you do not have a child, grandchild, or other relative in Our Lady of Lourdes School or St. Francis Borgia Regional High School, you
may choose Option B - the total percentage merchant's pay will go to Our Lady of Lourdes School operating budget OR you may choose Option C - the total percentage
to Our Lady of Lourdes St. Bernadette's Purse Tuition Assistance Program.
